Poser

The party game where you strike a pose from clues alone.

One player sees a secret image and shouts directions. One listens and poses. Everyone else rates the damage. Take turns directing, posing, and judging. Great for 2–8 players, or go solo.

How it works

Every round, everyone in the room plays one of three roles. Then the roles rotate.

1 player

The Director

Sees the secret image. Can’t show anyone. Shouts directions like their life depends on it, then snaps the photo.

1 player

The Poser

Recreates an image they’ve only heard described, armed with nothing but yelled instructions and misplaced confidence.

Everyone else

The Judges

See the original and the photo side by side, then rate the result anywhere from Chaos to Nailed It.

Roles rotate every turn

FAQ

What is Poser?

Poser is an in-person party game for iPhone. One player, the Director, sees a secret image and describes it out loud. Another player, the Poser, tries to match it with a pose, and the Director snaps a photo. Everyone else judges how close it came.

How many players can play?

Poser is best with 2 to 8 players in the same room. There is also a solo mode if you want to practice your poses on your own.

Does everyone need the app?

Yes. Each player joins on their own iPhone using a six-character room code or a quick QR scan. No sign-ups or accounts needed.

Do we all have to be in the same room?

Yes. Poser is designed for in-person play: directions are shouted across the room and the photo is taken live on the Director’s phone.

Is Poser free?

Poser is free to download on the App Store. It runs on iPhones with iOS 17 or later.

What kinds of images do you recreate?

Curated packs of expressive photos: dramatic animals, over-the-top people, objects that accidentally look like faces, and more. New packs are added over time.
